New Justin Timberlake Album on the Way
Well, after almost 5 years – the wait is over. Justin Timberlake announced on January 2nd that his long awaited fifth solo album, Man of The Woods, is dropping on February 2nd. Earlier today Justin gave his fans more to celebrate announcing the first single will be released on Friday, January 5th. The song “Filthy” will be released on all digital platforms accompanied by a music video. So, for all of you excited for a new Justin Timberlake album – you won’t have to wait long.
The new single “Filthy,” is co-produced by Just Timberlake and his longtime collaborators Timbaland and Danja. Especially relevant, it is worth noting that the song was written with James Fauntleroy and Larrance Dopson. A press release described the video as being colorful and futuristic. Filthy’s music video was directed by Mark Romanek notable director for Nine Inch Nails, Johnny Cash, and Jay-Z, to name a few. The video and song are described as “dance heavy,” and in the video Timberlake is acting as a modern-day inventor presenting his latest creation to the world.
The press release describes “Man of The Woods” as Justin’s most ambitious album to date. It can be expected that Justin will be improved both sonically and lyrically. Regarding the album’s sound, Justin has combined the sounds of traditional American rock with modern influences. Most noteworthy collaborators such as The Neptunes, Timbaland, Chris Stapleton, and Alicia Keys this album will be one to look forward to for sure. Influenced by the birth of his son, his wife, and his personal rise to fame from Memphis. As a result, “Man of The Woods” will feature tons of great new material.
After the release of his lead single “Filthy,” Justin will release three additional videos leading up to the album’s release. Seems like each video will feature their own individual style and color due to three different directors. Three songs will be released every week starting January 18th.
