Billboard Dance Charts: NOTD & Bea Miller
Each week there are different songs and albums rising on Billboard’s Dance Charts. This week, Swedish production duo NOTD notch their first top 10 on any chart with “I Wanna Know”. This track is featuring pop singer-songwriter Bea Miller and is bumped from number up to number 9 on the Dance Club Songs chart. The song is the second top 10 for Miller who previously reached number 4 with “Young Blood” in March 2015. The pop original was remixed by Alphalove, Syn Cole, and Kokiri, among others. Most noteworthy, this is NOTD’s second original release and they aren’t even out of high school yet.
Billboard Dance Charts: Dynoro & Gigi D’agostino
Another noteworthy dance charts release worth mentioning is Lithuanian DJ/Producer Dynoro who teamed up with Italian DJ/producer Gigi D’Agostino. The duo debuts at number 23 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with “In My Mind”. The track is a cover of Ivan Gough and Feenixpawl’s festival anthem of the same name. The original peaked at number on Dance/Mix show air play in August 2012 and number 10 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song sales that October. “Mind” marks the inaugural appearance for both European DJs and the first stateside chart action on any Billboard chart for Dynoro. Additionally, D’Agostino is most noteworthy for his song “I’ll Fly With You (L’Amour Toujours)” which originally ranked in September 2000.
Billboard Dance Charts: deadmau5 & Rob Swire
The final dance charts song we are going to focus on is deadmau5 featuring Rob Swire’s “Monophobia”. With this record, deadmau5 digs into Dance/Mix Show Airplay at number 24. The chart’s leading debut is deadmau5’s first entry in five years since “Professional Griefers” featuring Gerard Way which hit number 22 in March 2013. Monophobia is the first collaboration between deadmau5 and Swire since “Ghosts”. Most noteworthy, the song grabs most of its airplay from three core dance affiliates. SiriusXM’s BPM, iHeartRadio’s Evolution network, and KNHC in Seattle.
