Beyoncé has released an original song for the film. Spirit, which was released July 10th, launched at number 1 on the Kid Digital Song Sales chart. Worth mentioning, Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Eichner, and Rogen are also voices within the computer-animated movie The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau. Furthermore, the film is due in theaters on Friday, July 19th, and is a remake of the traditionally-animated 1994 original, which scored close to $1 billion worldwide.
Spirit is one of 19 songs off of the movie’s soundtrack. The soundtrack itself debuts at number 2 on Kid Albums with 2,000 sold after its first day of release on July 11th. Nine songs from the soundtrack feature score pieces by legendary composer, Hans Zimmer. Additionally, the album enters the Soundtracks chart at number 16 with 4,000 equivalent album units earned.
