David Guetta Debuts ‘7’ at No. 1

David Guetta Debuts at Number 1 on Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart

David Guetta has notched his third number one on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic albums chart, dated September 29th. The album ‘7’ bows with 15,000 equivalent album units accord to Nielsen Music. Most noteworthy, 3,000 are from traditional album sales. The album, 7, starts at number 2 on Dance/Electronic album Sales. However, on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, David Guetta gets his 12th top 10 with the song, “Goodbye”. Goodbye features Jason Derulo alongside Nicki Minaj and Willy William. Additionally, Guetta ties The Chainsmokers for the second-most top 10s following only Calvin Harris’ who owns 16.

Guetta’s song “Goodbye” rises with 9 million airplay audience impressions which is up 14 percent. In addition, 4.5 million streams, which are up 51 percent, and 2,000 sold – up 20 percent. Meanwhile, Guetta alter ego Jack Back jumps 48-38 on Dance Club Songs with “It Happens Sometimes”. The single was released apart from the album and is the second single to chart credited to Jack. However, the first single “Wild One Two” hit number 1 in May 2012 and was credited as Jack Back featuring David Guetta, Nicky Romero, and Sia.


Charting Artists Beside David Guetta

David Guetta isn’t the only artist tearing up the Dance charts. Kygo commands his second leader on the Dance Club Songs chart with “Remind Me to Forget” featuring Miguel. This earned him his first. The track sports remixes from Hook N Sling, Syn Cole and Kay Stafford, among many others.

Additionally, on Dance Club Songs, Janet and Daddy Yankee jump from number 14 up to the 6th spot with “Made for Now”. Remixed by Eric Kupper, Dirty Werk, Dirty Disco, and others – the collaboration is Janet’s 34th top 10 and her first since “Make Me” in January 2010. Most noteworthy, if “Made” makes it to number 1 – Janet would become the fourth artist with at least 20 Dance Club Songs leaders.
