Nicki Minaj Has Linked Up with 6ix9ine on TROLLZ
Nicki Minaj and Tekashi 6ix9ine have connected again for another song. “TROLLZ” is the latest release from the duo and its release is paired with a music video. Furthermore, after his last release, the controversial Brooklyn rapper 6ix9ine is doing everything within his power to ensure a chart topper. Previously, Tekashi had called out Billboard for playing favorites with Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande when they took the top spot from him on his previous release “GOOBA”. The song debuted at number 3 and the claim was that the other artists were falsifying their numbers or using tactics that didn’t reflect the true popularity of the songs, comparably. However, this time around, with the release of TROLLZ – 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj are asking fans to buy the song up to the legal limit of 4 times per credit card.
It has been a while since their previous collaboration as Tekashi was in prison for over a year. The previous collab “FEFE” was produced by Murda Beatz and included on 6ix9ine’s debut album, DUMMY BOY. Additionally, the song was featured on Nicki’s album Queen. The music video has amassed 878 million views as of June 17th, 2020.
In an attempt to maximize streams, Nicki Minaj and 6ix9ine have created bundle deals and even an alternative version of the song. Most noteworthy, a portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Bail Project which provides free bail assistance to low income individuals. Bundle deals include digital purchases paired with TROLLZ themed cassettes, CDs, and even Vinyls. Additional merchandise such as sweatpants and hoodies are available as well. Furthermore, an official lyric video has been released to add strength to the song’s popularity and streaming. Keep an eye on the charts because with Tekashi involved, there will certainly be drama and entertainment.
