21 Savage Debuts at No. 1 with “I Am > I Was”

Atlanta rapper, 21 Savage, lands his first number 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with his album “I Am > I Was”. The album was released on December 21^st via Slaughter Gang/Epic Records and launches with 131,000 equivalent album units earned. This information is based on sales ending week December 27^th, according to Nielsen Music. However, of that sum, 18,000 were traditional album sales, the remaining bulk is driven by streaming activity. Most noteworthy, the Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption. These metrics are measured in equivalent album units. Furthermore, these units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums.
