Olivia Rodrigo has officially scored her third consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love debuts atop the chart dated June 27.

The singer-songwriter’s third studio album opens with an impressive 485,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States during the week ending June 18, according to Luminate. The figure marks Rodrigo’s biggest opening week to date and the largest week of 2026 for any solo artist.

The achievement further solidifies Rodrigo’s status as one of pop music’s defining stars of her generation. She previously topped the Billboard 200 with her debut album SOUR in 2021 and sophomore effort GUTS in 2023, making her three for three when it comes to studio albums debuting at No. 1.

The project arrived with significant momentum thanks to two major Billboard Hot 100 hits: drop dead, which reached No. 1 in May, and the cure, which peaked at No. 5 in June.

The album’s massive debut was fueled by strong performance across multiple consumption formats. Of the 485,000 units earned, album sales accounted for 273,000, marking Rodrigo’s best sales week ever and the biggest sales week for a female artist in 2026. The project also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.

Streaming numbers were equally impressive. The album generated 211,000 streaming equivalent units, translating to 218.41 million on-demand streams, making it the largest streaming week of the year by a woman. It simultaneously debuted atop the Top Streaming Albums chart.

Physical formats played a major role in the album’s success as well. Released in more than 15 physical variants, including two signed editions, the project moved 164,000 vinyl copies during its opening week. The figure represents Rodrigo’s biggest vinyl sales week ever and the largest vinyl week of 2026 by a female artist.

Fans will soon have the opportunity to experience the album live when Rodrigo launches The Unraveled Tour on Sept. 25 in Hartford, Connecticut. The global trek is currently scheduled to run through May 10, 2027, concluding in London.

Elsewhere on the Billboard 200, Drake’s ICEMAN falls to No. 2 after spending its first four weeks atop the chart. Former No. 1 albums from Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen and Noah Kahan continue to dominate the upper tier, while Michael Jackson’s Thriller remains a top 10 fixture.

The chart’s top 10 also includes Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving and BTS’ ARIRANG, which returns to the top 10.
