Bruno Mars Sets February Release for First Solo Album in a Decade and Launches Global Stadium Tour

Bruno Mars is officially back in album mode.

The 16-time Grammy-winning singer and songwriter will release his fourth solo album, The Romantic, on Feb. 27 via Atlantic Records. The project marks Mars’ first solo studio album since 24K Magic, which arrived nearly a decade ago and went on to win six Grammy Awards.

The announcement was made Wednesday, Jan. 7, alongside news that Mars will release a new single on Friday, Jan. 9. Preorders for a numbered first-pressing vinyl edition of The Romantic are now available through Mars’ official website.

Mars also revealed plans for The Romantic Tour, his first full headline tour since the 24K Magic World Tour launched in 2017. Produced by Live Nation, the 2026 outing will be Mars’ first-ever full stadium tour and will span nearly 40 dates across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. Live Nation has described it as one of the biggest global tours of the year.

The tour will kick off April 10 in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium and will stop in major cities including Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Denver and Miami. Venues on the itinerary include Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Wembley Stadium in London, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Mars will be joined on all dates by nine-time Grammy winner and Silk Sonic collaborator Anderson .Paak, performing as DJ Pee .Wee. Additional support across select markets will come from Victoria Monét, RAYE and Leon Thomas.

Despite the long gap between solo albums, Mars has remained a commercial force through high-profile collaborations. His duet with Lady Gaga, Die With a Smile, won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo or Group Performance and was nominated for Song of the Year. The track became Spotify’s fastest song to reach one billion streams and helped Mars become the first artist to surpass 150 million monthly listeners on the platform. Vevo also named it the most-watched music video of 2025, with 932 million global views.

Mars also dominated streaming charts in 2025 with APT. featuring Rosé of BLACKPINK. The song was the most-streamed track of the year on both Apple Music and Deezer, spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200. It went on to win Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards and earned Grammy nominations for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo or Group Performance.

In 2022, Mars became the first artist to earn six RIAA Diamond certifications. His catalog includes seven Diamond-certified singles, including Just the Way You Are, which is currently the highest-certified song in history at 21 times platinum. Other Diamond hits include Uptown Funk with Mark Ronson, Grenade, That’s What I Like, When I Was Your Man, Locked Out of Heaven and The Lazy Song.

His debut album Doo Wops and Hooligans has spent more than 345 weeks on the Billboard 200, making it the longest-running studio album by a solo male artist in chart history. Mars has earned nine No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and has placed 35 songs on the chart since breaking through in 2009.
