Care Package Aiming for Number 1 Debut

Care Package is Heading to the Top

No stranger to topping charts, Drake is back with his ninth number 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. It is suggested that Drake’s compilation album “Care Package” could earn more than 100,000 equivalent units in its first week. Most noteworthy, the album was released on August 2nd via OVO Sound/Republic Records. The set is filled with tracks that were never officially released via album, only through different platforms such as YouTube and Soundcloud. The Billboard 200 chart uses multi-metric consumption analytics to determine an albums position. Of these statistics tracked, album sales, track equivalent albums, and streaming equivalent albums play the role of determining factors.

Overall, Drake has spent 26 weeks on top of the chart in his career. Albums charted are Scorpion, More Life, Views, What a Time to Be Alive, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Nothing Was the Same, Take Care, and Thank Me Later. It’s safe to say that Care Package, although a compilation album, will be another bragging right for the Toronto MC. However, it is not projected how long the album will stay on top. It should be interesting to see how many of the songs perform individually compared to new releases.

Furthermore, Drake isn’t the only one making a debut on the chart this week. Other artists aiming for significant debuts are Lil Durk, Skillet, and Tyler Childer. Additionally, the Descendants 3 soundtrack is looking to find its way onto the chart as well. Perhaps most noteworthy, Tool, the rock band, could see four of their albums hit the charts again. Having re-released most of their catalog to digital retail and streaming services early this month, it is expected for Tool to hit the charts. Continuing to keep an eye on Care Package on the chart may determine a trend from other artists – something to watch out for. быстрые займы онлайн
