Djo Notches Second Consecutive Week at No. 1 on U.K. Singles Chart

Djo continues his reign atop the U.K. Singles Chart, as “End of Beginning” holds steady at No. 1 for a second consecutive week on the chart dated Jan. 16.

Originally released in 2022, the track has surged in popularity following the arrival of the final season of Stranger Things, in which Joe Keery stars as fan-favorite Steve Harrington. Keery has released music under the Djo moniker since 2019, and the renewed attention around the series has helped propel “End of Beginning” to new chart heights.

The song first reached No. 1 on the Jan. 9-dated chart, marking Djo’s best performance on the U.K. Singles Chart to date. “End of Beginning” appears on his 2022 album Decide, where it previously peaked at No. 4. The track is also currently sitting at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, underscoring its global momentum.

The impact of Stranger Things has been felt widely across the charts, with several classic tracks tied to the show experiencing major gains in recent weeks. Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” Prince’s “Purple Rain,” and The Police’s “Every Breath You Take” all posted significant week-over-week jumps on the Jan. 9 chart.

Elsewhere on the latest U.K. Singles Chart, Dave and Tems’ “Raindance” climbs two places to No. 2 and is shaping up as a strong contender for the top spot in the coming weeks. The song appears on Dave’s chart-topping album The Boy Who Played the Harp, and a new music video featuring both artists dropped this week.

Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” slips one spot to No. 3 after previously spending seven weeks at No. 1 since its October release. RAYE!’s “Where Is My Husband!” holds at No. 4, while Olivia Dean’s “So Easy (To Fall In Love With Me)” rounds out the top five at No. 5.

Bruno Mars scores the highest new entry of the week with “I Just Might,” debuting at No. 6 and earning his 13th U.K. top 10 single. The singer recently added 31 dates to his upcoming stadium tour amid high demand, ahead of his comeback album The Romantic, due Feb. 27.

Sienna Spiro’s “Die on This Hill” returns to the top 10 at No. 10 for the first time since November, following her first-ever appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, where the track has climbed to No. 54. Meanwhile, PinkPantheress’ “Stateside” is the week’s biggest climber, jumping 12 spots to No. 23 after the release of a remix with Zara Larsson, who is also seeing renewed interest in her own catalog with “Lush Life” sitting at No. 7.
