Hollywood’s Bleeding: Post Malones 2nd Number 1
Unless you live under a rock, you may have heard that Post Malone has released a new album. Furthermore, you may have even heard some songs on the radio from the set. With that said, it should be no surprise that Posty has come flying in at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with Hollywood’s Bleeding. The album opens up with 489,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week. These numbers are reported by Nielsen Music and shows for the second-biggest week of 2019 for any album. Especially relevant, of that total sum, 200,000 were in pure album sales. Most notably, the set has accumulated over 365 million on-demand audio streams within its first week. This is 2019’s biggest streaming week for an album.
Following 2018’s beerbongs & bentleys, Hollywood’s Bleeding is Post Malone’s second number 1. The previous album also debuted at number 1 with 461,000 units, which was comprised of 153,000 actual album sales. Both albums were released via Republic Records.
Building up to the release of the album, Post Malone was staying hot with four smash singles across the charts. Sunflower featuring Swae Lee performed well, landing a number 1. “Wow” hit number 2, “Goodbyes” featuring Young Thug hit number 3, and “Circles” has found itself in the 7-spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
However, we can dissect the actual streaming numbers for Hollywood’s Bleeding and see why it is a success. As previously mentioned, 200,000 album sales contributed a large sum of the numbers tracked. Additionally, 11,000 account for traditional equivalent album units. Lastly, 278,000 streaming equivalent album units were delivered based on the previously mentioned 365 million streams. These numbers are summed up based on on-demand audio streams from all 17 songs on the album. The previous biggest streaming week of the year was held by Ariana Grande who scored 307 million in the first week back in February. займ на карту онлайн
