Kanye West hits Hot 100 for 82nd Time

Kanye West has scored his first Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist since 2016. “Ye vs. The People” featuring T.I. has debuted at number 85 on the chart dated May 12th. Furthermore, the song arrives with 7.4 million streams in the U.S. and 12,000 downloads sold last week. According to Nielsen Music, this drove the songs number 32 entrance on the Digital Song Sales Chart. Worth noting, the track has also earned 4.7 million radio audience impressions thus far. “Ye vs. The People” gives Kanye West his 82nd Hot 100 entry. As a result, the ninth-most in the chart’s 59-year history. However, it is West’s first since his feature on Drake’s “Glow”. That song peaked at number 54 in April 2017. “Ye” is Kanye’s first Hot 100 entry as a lead since “Fade in October 2016.

Other artists worth mentioning are Migos and Drake who are holding strong at number 18 on the Hot 100. Previously having reached number 10 with “Walk It Talk It” becoming Migos’ fourth top 10.
