Keke Palmer is stepping into the spotlight as host of the Billboard Women in Music 2026, and she’s not just emceeing the night, she’s also gearing up to perform her new single “Text Message Unsent.”
Speaking during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Palmer shared her excitement about leading the event, set to take place at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on April 29. The ceremony will feature a packed lineup of presenters, including Bella Poarch, Brandi Carlile, Cara Delevingne, Ciara, Coco Jones, Dionne Warwick, Eva Longoria, Victoria Monét, Kim Petras, Lainey Wilson and Tyla.
In addition to hosting duties, Palmer will debut “Text Message Unsent,” a track tied to her upcoming film I Love Boosters. The song, created alongside director Boots Riley and Alina Kanin, explores the emotional weight of unspoken feelings. As Palmer explained, it captures the moment when you want to say everything to someone you love but choose to hold back.
The night will also celebrate a wide range of honorees, including Kehlani, Laufey, Mariah the Scientist, Tate McRae, Teyana Taylor, Thalía and Zara Larsson, each being recognized for their impact across the industry.
Palmer also shared a lighthearted moment when discussing HUNTR/X, who will receive Women of the Year honors. The group’s hit “Golden” has clearly made its way into her household, thanks to her young son, though she joked he might not be as excited about attending the event in person.
With a mix of performances, awards and major industry names, Billboard Women in Music 2026 is shaping up to be a standout celebration. The event will stream live on Billboard’s website and YouTube channel, bringing the night’s biggest moments to a global audience.
