Kodak Black, Travis Scott & Offset Reach Number 1 with “ZEZE”

Kodak Black has found himself on top Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart dated October 27th. This is the first time the rapper has led the list by debuting with “ZEZE”. Most noteworthy, “ZEZE” features fellow rappers Travis Scott and Offset. The song has recorded 47.6 million streams in the October 12th-18th tracking week, according to Nielsen Music. Additionally, it becomes the 10th song to debut at number 1 on Streaming Songs in 2018. Also, worth noting, it has become the second debut at number 1 in just three weeks following Lil Wayne’s Mona Lisa.

Kodak Black has previously risen as high as number 2 on Streaming Songs with “Tunnel Vision”. However, “ZEZE” marks his first appearance in the chart’s top 10 since “Vision” although he has appeared on the ranking multiple times since. Most recently, the rapper appeared on the chart with “If I’m Lyin, I’m Flyin” which ranked number 35 on October 13th.

The track is also Travis Scott’s first Streaming Songs leader. To much surprise, “Sicko Mode” featuring Drake previously peaked at number 2 in August. Additionally, “ZEZE” is the first solo number 1 for Offset as well, who previously scored a number 5 hit with “Ric Flair Drip” alongside Metro Boomin in March. Because of Offset being a part of Migos – this is not truly his first number 1 on Streaming Songs. The group hit the top with “Bad and Boujee” in January 2017.

“ZEZE” records the best individual streaming week for a song since Eminem’s “Killshot” on September 29th with 51.3 million streams. The song also rules the On-Demand Streaming Songs chart which includes on-demand audio streams form subscription-based services. Kodak Black can boast that his song saw 37.8 million total on-demand audio streams. However, on the Hot 100, “ZEZE” sits in the number 2 spot but is on top of Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Most noteworthy, the song’s success was assisted by a social media challenge in which users danced to the song. Great viral tactics are at work here. payday loan
