Lil Wayne ‘Funeral’ Heading to the Top on Billboard 200 Albums Chart
Lil Wayne is back with his long awaited and highly anticipated album ‘Funeral’. However, the fans are certainly welcoming the Young Money rapper back with welcome arms. So much so that Weezy is on course to land his fifth number 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with this latest release. Projections are showing that the album is expected to tally on-top with over 115,000 equivalent album units earned in the first week. Additionally, the album was released on January 31st via Young Money/Republic Records and follows Mr. Carter’s 2018 chart topper, “Tha Carter V“.
Most noteworthy, the Billboard 200 album chart ranks the most popular albums of the week using different consumption analytics. These multi-metric units are comprised of three different factors. Traditional album sales, track equivalent albums, and streaming equivalent albums. Lil Wayne has previously topped the albums chart five different times. In 2018 with Tha Carter V, 2011 with Tha Carter IV, 2010 with I Am Not a Human Being, and in 2008 with Tha Carter III. If in fact Tunechi does land on top, it will not only secure his fifth leader but also his 12th top 10 album. Wayne’s first time on the Billboard 200 goes way back to 1999 when he released Tha Block is Hot and it peaked at number 3.
So, after a creative slump, a year-long stint in jail, seizures, and a long label battle, Lil Wayne has made it out of the decade ready to turn over a new leaf. The album features highs and lows, some vintage Weezy rapping, and production from the likes of Mannie Fresh. Funeral is certainly an album to check out and keep an eye on the progress and how it ranks on the charts moving forward. онлайн займ
