Miranda Lambert Ties Number 1 Record on Top Country Albums Chart
Miranda Lambert is back on the charts with her latest release Wildcard. Released on November 1st, the album enters Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart at number 1. This is Miranda’s seventh total and consecutive top album on the chart. Furthermore, in the first week ending November 7th, the album earned 53,000 equivalent album units with 44,000 coming from sales. Data and information are reported by Nielsen Music. With her seventh number 1 on Top Country Albums, all of which have arrived at the top, Lambert matches Carrie Underwood. These are the only 2 artists on the list’s 55-year-history to open at the top in seven career appearances. Additionally, Carrie Underwood’s latest release “Cry Pretty” opened at number 1 back in September 2018.
Especially relevant, Wildcard is the first studio album from Miranda Lambert since “The Weight of These Wings”. That album hit the top with 122,000 units in December 2016. Lambert’s run began in 2005 when she released Kerosene. Most noteworthy, following up with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in 2007, Revolution in 2009, Four the Record in 2011 and Platinum in 2014. It should be noted that Platinum brought Miranda her biggest sales week to date, opening with 180,000. Additionally, this is her only album to hit number 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
However, Carrie Underwood isn’t the only Country superstar Miranda has tied, after tying Dolly Parton for the third-most Top Country Albums number 1s among women. However, Reba McEntire leads the pack with 13, followed by Loretta Lynch with 10. Although, George Strait dominated the genre and all acts with 27 number 1s. Wildcard is produced by Jay Joyce and includes 14 tracks, all of which Miranda Lambert had a hand in writing. Keep an eye on Wildcard to see how it does on the chart in the future. займ на карту онлайн
