Offset, formerly of Migos, has officially announced the release of his upcoming solo album, titled “Set It Off,” scheduled to drop on October 13. The album, which will be released through Motown Records, will undoubtedly attract the interest of fans who have been eagerly anticipating Offset’s return to the spotlight since the end of the Migos group.
The announcement was made over social media earlier today, along with a release of the album cover. This forthcoming album marks Offset’s return to the music scene as a solo artist, following his 2019 release, “Father of 4”. Prior to this album, his last solo release came in 2021, with the release of the EP “Culture III (Offset’s Way)”.
In addition to his solo career, Migos has contributed to the success of the Migos with the release of four studio albums. Offset recently resolved his legal dispute with Quality Control Music, the label that played a pivotal role in Migos’ career. In August 2022, the rapper filed legal documents in Los Angeles to establish that Quality Control had no legal rights or claims to his recordings, as he had terminated his contract with the label the previous year. He asserted that despite acquiring the rights to his solo work, QC continued to assert ownership over his music, thus freeing him up to begin work on his upcoming “Set It Off” album.
