Polo G Lands on Top of Rap Albums Chart with ‘Die a Legend’

Polo G scores his first number 1 on Top Rap Albums with ‘Die a Legend’ as the set rises from 2 to 1. This leads the list on the chart dated June 29th as the album earns 29,000 equivalent units in the week based on recording by Nielsen Music. Furthermore, ‘Die a Legend’ is the fourth album this year to rise to number 1 without having debuted on top. Previous albums are A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s “Hoodie SZN”, DJ Khaled’s “Father of Asahd”, and Nipsey Hussle’s “Victory Lap”. Most noteworthy, “Die a Legend” debuted in the runner up spot and jumped to the top like A Boogie and DJ Khaled.

However, Nipsey Hussle’s album first entered the chart in March of 2018. The album found its way back on the list, directly at number 1 after the rapper’s death in Los Angeles in March, 2019. Hoodie and Victory both led the Top Rap Albums chart for four weeks this year. The most of any albums.

 

Especially relevant, “Die a Legend” features the hit single, “Pop Out”. This song is featuring Lil Tjay and spends its third week in the top 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, although it falls from 7 to 9. Additionally, “Pop Out” slips from 13 to 15 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales, with 4,000 downloads this past week. This number is down 21% for the week ending in June 20th. Furthermore, on the R&B/Hip-Hop streaming songs, Polo G and Lil Tjay take a dip from 2 to 6 with 28.1 million U.S. clicks in the same frame. This is typical behavior for songs on albums in their second chart week.

Most noteworthy, Polo G does advance on radio jumping from 32 to 27 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. This is a 28% jump to 6.7 million in audience. Additionally, reaching new peaks on two other radio rankings and audience gains on Rap Airplay and Rhythmic songs. займы на карту
