Rosé Makes History for K Pop With 2026 BRIT Awards Win

Rosé made history at the 2026 BRIT Awards, becoming the first K pop artist to win at the United Kingdom’s biggest night in music.

The BLACKPINK star took home Best International Song for her global smash “APT.” with Bruno Mars, marking a landmark achievement for Korean artists on the British stage. The collaboration triumphed over a competitive field that included Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild,” and Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” among other major international hits.

Visibly emotional, Rosé accepted the award in person at Co op Live Arena in Manchester, England. Dressed in an asymmetric black gown and adorned with Tiffany and Co jewelry, the singer thanked her collaborators and supporters while addressing the crowd.

“Oh my gosh it is such an honor to be receiving this award in front of so many talented and admirable musicians in the U K,” she said. “Bruno I am receiving this award on behalf of the both of us thank you so much for everything. For being my biggest mentor and best friend I love you so much.”

She also expressed gratitude to her label team at Atlantic Records, crediting them for consistently believing in her vision.

Amid the celebration, Rosé made sure to acknowledge her roots. She gave a heartfelt shoutout to her BLACKPINK bandmates Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa, drawing cheers from the audience. She also thanked longtime BLACKPINK producer Teddy Park for his continued support and influence.

The milestone arrives as BLACKPINK celebrates a major comeback with their new album DEADLINE, further cementing the group’s global dominance.
