The stage is set for a spectacular night of music and awards as MTV unveils the first round of performers for the 2023 Video Music Awards. This electrifying event will take place live at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on September 12th at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and it promises to be a night to remember.
Returning to the VMAs stage after a six-year hiatus is the talented Demi Lovato. She’s set to perform just days before the release of her new album, “Revamped,” which features rock versions of her hit songs. Demi is also nominated in two categories: Best Pop and Video for Good for her single “Swine.”
Karol G, fresh off her U.S. stadium tour, will bring her high-energy production to the VMA stage for the first time. She’s also up for three awards, including the highly coveted Artist of the Year category, where she’ll compete with music heavyweights like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, and Shakira.
Global K-pop sensation Stray Kids will make their VMA debut, performing “S-Class” from their Billboard chart-topping album “5-Star.” The group could also clinch their first award in the Best K-pop category.
Italian rockers Måneskin, who electrified the stage last year and won the Best Alternative category, are returning for an encore performance. This time, they’ll be delivering the world premiere performance of their upcoming single, “Honey (Are You Coming?).”
