Taylor Swift Scores Sixth Week at No. 1 in the U.K. With ‘The Fate of Ophelia’

Taylor Swift continues her dominance on the U.K. Official Singles Chart, securing a sixth nonconsecutive week at No. 1 with “The Fate of Ophelia” (Nov. 28). The track, taken from her twelfth studio album The Life of a Showgirl, first reached the top spot on the chart dated Oct. 10 and held for three straight weeks. After being briefly dethroned by KPop Demon Hunters’ “Golden,” Swift reclaimed the summit earlier this month and has remained there ever since.

Several rising forces in British pop also make major moves this week. RAYE achieves a personal best as “Where Is My Husband!” climbs to a new peak at No. 2. Olivia Dean follows closely, earning her first top three placement with “So Easy (To Fall In Love).”

Dean lands an impressive triple showing overall. She occupies No. 4 with “Man I Need” and No. 5 with her Sam Fender collaboration “Rein Me In.” Another track from her album The Art of Loving, titled “Let Alone the One You Love,” debuts at No. 21.

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande claim the week’s highest new entry with “For Good” at No. 14. The song serves as an emotional centerpiece of the newly released Wicked: For Good soundtrack. Two additional tracks from the film join the top 40: “No Good Deed” at No. 17 and “As Long As You’re Mine” at No. 29.

The chart also welcomes a breakout moment for the balaclava-wearing rapper EsDeeKid, who has sparked intense online speculation with rumors suggesting he may be actor Timothée Chalamet. Regardless of the mystery surrounding his identity, the artist makes a major impact. “Century” becomes his first top 10 hit at No. 10, followed closely by the Rico Ace assisted “Phantom” at No. 12. His track “4 Raws” appears further down the list at No. 27.
