Taylor Swift Sparks Online Frenzy with New ‘1989’ Lyrics

In a sneak peek shared on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Taylor Swift showcased handwritten lines from her notebook that left fans guessing. The intriguing lines read:

“Let’s fast forward to 300 takeout coffees later
I see your profile and your smile on unsuspecting waiters.”

While the source of these lyrics remains a mystery, ardent Swifties on Twitter were in a frenzy on Tuesday, as the rumor spread that these lyrics belong to one of the previously unreleased vault tracks. Each of Taylor’s previous re-recording projects have included previously unreleased vault tracks. These lyrics, which appear to be unrelated to any of her current discography, suggests that ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ will have new vault tracks as well, giving Swifties new music.

The highly anticipated release of ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ is just around the corner, set for October 27th. This reimagined album will include all 16 original and bonus tracks from the 2014 hit, along with previously unveiled ‘Vault’ tracks such as “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” “Slut!,” and “Suburban Legends.”

‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ marks Swift’s fourth release under her re-recording project, which she initiated in 2019. The three preceding albums, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), all claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 charts, demonstrating Swift’s enduring musical prowess.
