The emotional ballad, featured in Toy Story 5 and inspired by the beloved cowgirl character Jessie, arrives with several historic achievements that further cement Swift’s place among music’s all-time greats.
With her latest leader, Swift breaks out of a three-way tie with Drake and Rihanna to claim sole possession of the third-most No. 1 hits in Billboard Hot 100 history. She now trails only The Beatles, who hold the record with 20 No. 1s, and Mariah Carey with 19.
The song also marks Swift’s ninth No. 1 debut on the Hot 100, allowing her to surpass Ariana Grande for the most chart-topping debuts by a woman in the chart’s history. Additionally, I Knew It, I Knew You becomes her 70th top 10 hit, extending her own record for the most top 10 entries by a female artist.
