The 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards Kick Off in Miami

The 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards are officially underway, bringing together some of the biggest names in Latin music for an unforgettable night of performances and celebration at the James L. Knight Center in Miami.

Bad Bunny leads this year’s finalists with a record-breaking 27 nominations, making history once again. The Puerto Rican superstar already has one major win secured — the Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century award, recognizing his unmatched success on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and Hot Latin Songs charts from 2000 to 2024.

Following him is Fuerza Regida with 15 nominations and Rauw Alejandro with 14. Among the women, Karol G leads with 10 nominations, tying with rising regional Mexican star Tito Double P, while Peso Pluma follows closely with nine.

Several artists are also being honored with special awards. Italian icon Laura Pausini will receive the Billboard Icon Award, Peso Pluma will take home the first-ever Billboard Vanguard Award, and merengue legend Elvis Crespo will be inducted into the Billboard Hall of Fame.

This year’s awards feature 49 categories across Latin pop, tropical, Latin rhythm, and regional Mexican music. Finalists and winners are determined by chart performance from September 14, 2024, to September 6, 2025, based on streaming, sales, radio airplay, and touring data tracked by Billboard and its partner Luminate.

The event is hosted by Goyo and Javier Poza, and is airing live on Telemundo from Miami. Fans across Latin America and the Caribbean can also stream it live on the Telemundo app, Peacock, and Telemundo Internacional.
